RGB-UV Spectrum

The perfect mix of RGB 3-in-1 and UVA power leds to satisfy the most demanding Pro Aquascapers. UVA brings an interesting colour depth and dimension and is also said to be beneficial for plants and fish.

While the addition of UV is particularly sought after for aquascaping and for fish tanning, all planted aquariums benefit from and look great under this spectrum. The effects of UV light on plants and fish is a highly investigated topic with research spanning decades.

Delivers vibrant, crisp and natural lighting with awesome colour rendition and shimmer.

All channels on at the same intensity is the best way to show off this spectrum, gives perfect colour with stunning clarity and colour depth providing scapers an unrivalled competition level spectrum.

Integrated App and Manual Remote

At the heart of the MMLED Aurora HD there is a sophisticated phone app (Android and iOS) that allows manual control and full daily set and forget automation (e.g. Sunrise/Sunset).

For those that don't like phone app technology there is a hand held manual remote to use.

Hood Mounting

Hood mounting requires a little diy because all hoods are different, each tube comes with a pair of universal mounting clips to help make this an easy job.

Rim Mounting

The adjustable bracket mounting kit makes it a simple task to rim mount the Aurora HD tubes.

The bracket will fit on rims up to 21mm wide and the L shaped support rod is 250mm x 140mm

Hang Mounting

The hang kit comes with everything you need to suspend the light except something to connect the wires to above the light.

Hang wires are 50cm long and the kit includes tube clips and wire holders for each end

Glasstop Mounting

The tubes are so light and compact they can be laid directly on glass lids.

Most of the heat on these lights is projected upwards and very little heat is projected down so the glass won't get too hot.

Rhombus Optic lenses

The MMLED Aurora HD series lights feature dual purpose Rhombus Optic lenses/reflectors for crisp, clear and vibrant light.

• 1 x Aurora Led Controller with 2 or 4 outlets to connect to the lights

Beam Angle Choice

The beam angle affects how wide or narrow the light beam will be. A lower degree beam angle like 30 will have a narrower beam than 45.

Narrower beams produce higher intensity and PAR directly below the light but that intensity tapers off as you move out from the center.

Wider beams have a lower intensity and PAR directly below but the intensity does not taper off as quickly.

Choosing an appropriate beam angle for your tank dimensions and lighting needs is not an exact science but use this table as a general guideline.

PAR/PPFD for a Two Tube Set

NOTE: PAR is quoted for WRGB, will be a little lower for the RGB-UV and RGB-C Spectrums

This table shows the PAR (PPFD) readings at distances 30cm to 75cm for the various beam angles for a Two tube set.

Additional tubes will increase PAR by 77% if placed close to each other or will at a minimum keep the same PAR if spaced apart.

PPFD readings of 50 umol/m2/s or over at the substrate is considered adequate lighting to sustain plant growth.

You Choose the Length and Spectrums

MMLED Fixed Colour Tube Sets (aka XB5) allow you design your own power led lighting tube system, i.e. to choose the length, number of tubes and the spectrum of each tube in the set.

Choose up to 5 tubes for the set and choose which spectrums you want for each tube.

Each tube in the set is separately dimmable but not colour tunable. Colour tuning can be achived by dimming or brightening tubes to get the colour you want.

High Tech Rhombus lenses

These power led tubes feature high tech 2-in-1 Rhombus Optic lens and reflectors for maximum output and awesome shimmer! Available in 120°, 90°, 60°, 45° and 30° beam angles to target specific depths and to achieve specific PAR. Lenses can be easily DIY swapped if your needs change.

You Choose the Length and Spectrum

NOTE: This is a tube only, no power supply. To be used as an add on or replacement.

Fixed Spectrum Spare/Replacement Tubes (aka XB5) are for building custom systems or for use aas a spacre or replacement.

As a guide, the Flora Sun Blend is the most popular for fresh water tanks because it naturally highlights blues and reds in fish and also has a perfect spectrum for growing plants and the 120000K Coral Sun tube is the most popular for marine tanks.

High Tech Rhombus lenses

These power led tubes feature high tech 2-in-1 Rhombus Optic lens and reflectors for maximum output and awesome shimmer! Available in 120°, 90°, 60°, 45° and 30° beam angles to target specific depths and to achieve specific PAR. Lenses can be easily DIY swapped if your needs change.
