Integrated App and Manual Remote
At the heart of the MMLED Aurora HD Fresh Water there is a sophisticated phone app (Android and iOS) that allows manual control and full daily set and forget automation (e.g. Sunrise/Sunset).
For those that don't like phone app technology there is a hand held manual remote to use.
Both dimming options are included in the package. You can use the phone app or manual remote or both at the same time
Rim or Glasstop mounting
The horizontally adjustable brackets make it a simple task to lay the light on the glasstop or rim mount it on open tanks.
The bracket will fit on rims up to 17mm wide and are extendable to fit a tank up to 12cm longer.
Hang Mounting
Perfect for those that like to suspend their light from above.
The Hang mounting kit includes brass mounting lugs at each end of the light and 50cm cables at each end.
You'll need provide the rest e.g. ceiling mounting or shelf mounting hooks.
Rhombus Optic lenses

The beam angle affects how wide or narrow the light beam will be. A lower degree beam angle like 30 will have a narrower beam than 45.
Narrower beams produce higher intensity and PAR directly below the light but that intensity tapers off as you move out from the center.
Wider beams have a lower intensity and PAR directly below but the intensity does not taper off as quickly.
Choosing an appropriate beam angle for your tank dimensions and lighting needs is not an exact science but use this table as a general guideline.

Yes everything is included except the mounting hardware which is optional
No it doesn't. This light is already in it's own fixture complete and ready to plug in and go.
Can it be used with a powerpoint timer?
Yes it can be used with a powerpoint timer but there is an integrated smart controller where you can use an app to control on/off and lamp intensity and automate these things on a 7 day cycle
What should I do if I have a problem?
This light is designed for trouble free long term use under normal operating conditions, if you need help you can use the MMLED online chat for assistance and trouble shooting. In the unlikely event there is a fault, the lamp is covered by a 12 months peace-of-mind manufacturers guarantee and you can return it to the place of purchase for a replacement or repair.
What type of light does it produce?
This lamp produces True Colour visible light, a perfect full spectrum for animals and plants and will make your animal colours show like you've never seen them before. No UV light is produced by this lamp.

All channels on at the same intensity is the best way to show off this spectrum, gives a crisp and natural colour with stunning clarity and colour depth.
The White power leds are locked into the RED channel, it makes sense to do this because RED channel on high is a no brainer for fresh water tanks and feature leds that need to come into play should therefore also be on this channel.
Integrated App and Manual Remote
At the heart of the Aurora HD Fresh Water there is a sophisticated phone app (Android and iOS) that allows manual control and full daily set and forget automation (e.g. Sunrise/Sunset).
For those that don't like phone app technology there is a hand held manual remote to use.
Both dimming options are included in the package. You can use the phone app or manual remote or both at the same time
Rim or Glasstop mounting
The horizontal and vertical adjustable brackets make it a simple task to lay the light on the glasstop or rim mount it on open tanks.
The bracket will fit on rims up to 21mm and will raise the light up to 25cm above the tank rim. With the short bracket legs horizontal, they will extend to fit a tank 20cm longer, with the long bracket legs horizontal, they will extend to fit a tank 40cm longer.
Hang Kit
Use the hang kit to suspend your light from above. The kit includes adjustable length cables and everything you need as shown except tank poles/ceiling hardware.

The MMLED Aurora HD Fresh Water series lights feature dual purpose Rhombus Optic lenses/reflectors for crisp, clear and vibrant light.

The beam angle affects how wide or narrow the light beam will be. A lower degree beam angle like 30 will have a narrower beam than 45.
Narrower beams produce higher intensity and PAR directly below the light but that intensity tapers off as you move out from the center.
Wider beams have a lower intensity and PAR directly below but the intensity does not taper off as quickly.
Choosing an appropriate beam angle for your tank dimensions and lighting needs is not an exact science but use this table as a general guideline.

Yes this light is fully dimmable using either the hand held remote or the smart phone app.
Is everything included in the box?
Yes everything is included except the mounting hardware which is optional
No it doesn't. This light is already in it's own fixture complete and ready to plug in and go.
Can it be used with a powerpoint timer?
Yes it can be used with a powerpoint timer but there is an integrated smart controller where you can use an app to control on/off and lamp intensity and automate these things on a 7 day cycle
What should I do if I have a problem?
This light is designed for trouble free long term use under normal operating conditions, if you need help you can use the MMLED online chat for assistance and trouble shooting. In the unlikely event there is a fault, the lamp is covered by a 12 months peace-of-mind manufacturers guarantee and you can return it to the place of purchase for a replacement or repair.
What type of light does it produce?
